Wow! It's been a while since I've been on here. Married now 15 years and still writing away! My job is very logical so this is where I come to be creative! Hopefully I can keep it going again. Help me and suggest stuff to write about.

Since this is Rob's weekend for being off, it's typically our weekend to go be hillbillies at the campground.
Yesterday morning, I'd say about 4:30/5:00, I'm hearing this faint mewing sound. It's VERY close to my bed. So, I get up to see how the babies are doing. The kittens have been living in Cassi's room, but, all of a sudden, I don't see them.
You see, MOM, decided she was putting them UNDER my bed. This just can't happen. Charlie, our other adult female, who absolutely detests the kittens, LIVES in our bedroom. That is her domain. So, when I try to move them BACK to the bedroom, mom wants to bring them back out.
We compromised. I brought them out to the living room. Our living room/dining room is 13 feet wide by 28 feet long. In one corner, where I wanted to put the kittens before, is where they now live. We're DEFINITELY watching for them since now they're out in the public. But, for the most part, they are staying in their corner.
But, our day SUCKED! Our sleeping was sooo off. Plus, after getting them out into the living room, and the kittens going back to sleep, Popeye, the orange one, decides he's going to be my shadow and doesn't want to sleep, except for with me. I can drape an arm across my breast and have him lay on his back so I can rub his belly. Then, he falls asleep. I ended up laying in the recliner with him in my arms. We both take a nap.
So, Rob's sleep is REALLY off. I wake up after a short nap, which is also after taking Cassi to her last day of school, when he decides to go to sleep. AND, he's asleep until after 2pm! Not only is he still recovering from this day, he's still recovering from 6 straight 12-hour shifts at the Cleveland Clinic. Very tiring, but rewarding to him.
The first thing he says to me is, "Let's go camping." Well, I've got laundry to wash, dishes to put in the dishwasher, etc. Plus, there's chicken out that needs to be cooked before we go. Within 3 hours, I get 2 loads of laundry washed, 1 load of dishes in the dishwasher and running, garbage out, kitty litter emptied and food refilled, and stuff packed for the campground. Plus, I cook dinner before we go, chicken breast for chicken salads.
We get down to the campground and get the beds remade. Because it was VERY humid the last time we were down, we brought all our blankies and such home to wash. That was 2 days of laundry. So, we had a VERY full car of a box fan, blankies, etc.
Because it's almost "that time" for me, I'm ready for bed by 9 and am actually asleep by 9:30. Cassi slept with me because all the JUNK laying on my bed goes in a storage tub under the camper. I think we both had a tough time sleeping. She kept throwing her sheet off, and I was chilly and used a blankie.
In the middle of the night, I had to get up and potty because I didn't before I fell asleep. Rob is still up. Of course, because he slept all day Friday, he was still awake. Because our camper is small, we use the campground's bath house for potty and showers. After I get back to bed and asleep, I can feel my hips digging into the "mattress" on my bed. By morning, don't even know what time I got up, my hips and back hurt.
Today, we spent time with friends, visiting and walking. We took Cassi up to the play area and relaxed a little. While there, we found 10 cents. We're RICH!
By the afternoon, it was so hot, just way too hot to stay. We came home. We checked on the babies, played a little, and cooled off. We'll be taking the camping on a case-by-case basis for the rest of this year. If it's hot like it has been, we may just not go because of the "no air" problem.
So, we're home now. Not sure what we're doing tomorrow. We'll know when we get up. I do know that I've got at least 3 loads of laundry to wash, dishes to do, garbage to take out. HMMM, seems like I've done this recently! Plus, I've got a living room and dining room to clean up.
That's it for tonight. It's almost midnight. I SHOULD go to bed soon!
Love to all,
Cathy

First, I don't know all the exacts about the person, the blog, or the situation leading up to this person being fired.
I agree that blogging SHOULD NOT be done at work. If you don't have enough to do that you are blogging on company time, you should be fired. Next, if you are talking bad about your job, your co-workers and giving out names, you could be sued for slander. Don't talk about your job on your blog. If you can generalize your job to talk about it, that no one would be offended, that would be fine.
Next, for those people searching their names on the search engines, I have NO PROBLEM looking for myself and finding it on the search engines. This is because of 3 things:
- Rob and I run a home-based business. With this business, it is imperative that people know who you are and have a way to find you. We have worked VERY HARD to get our web site on the search engines to be able to find us. By the way, the web site is: www.naturallyhealthyhome.com.
- Next, I personally run a creative services business. This is my way to use my skills learned from Ernst & Young, a former employer, in a way to continue my skills while I am not employed. That web site is: www.cathyhennes.com. As you can see, even if you searched my full name, you'll find it because that is my web site name.
- Finally, I don't care who sees my blog. I'm sick of being so introverted not be able to say my mind.
When I worked, blogging wasn't even part of the internet culture. At the time, emailing was the "in" thing to do. Yes, I did a lot of emailing, but my personal emails were small compared to the amount of emailing I did when I worked.
I am not going to change my blog. I know that once I finish school and have a job again, that I will not put specifics about my job or my coworkers on the blog. I will also NOT blog until I get home from work. I do know that if I need to write something down, I will keep a notepad around to keep my thoughts. BLOGGING will only be done at home, during off hours. Plus, if I feel the need to talk about my job, it will be in general to what I do. Plus, if I there is a reason for me to talk poorly about my co-workers and job, I shouldn't be there. I feel my job is where I can have a challenge and be occupied for the entire time I am being paid to be there.
With that, I'll close this. This topic was very strong, but I also wanted to make sure my thoughts and opinions had their voice.
Now, I'm getting off the soapbox. I've got some web design to do.
Love to all,
Cathy

She suggested that I add the links for my other blogs on the main part of this blog. Well, originally, I did, until I switched to this template.
Today, with my unsurpassed knowledge of HTML (yep, I cheated with FrontPage), I was able to code in my links. Now, they come up on the left, with the links for my most recent messages and archived messages.
So, THANK YOU!

After I thought about it, I have 2 theme songs. The first one, posted earlier, is about me and my struggle to find life "out there."
This one, is a more powerful song, but just as good, that talks about me. The song is also from Reba McEntire, (go figure!), called: I'm Gonna Take That Mountain. It is off her newest album "Room to Breathe." Here are the words:
I'm Gonna Take that mountain
I was born a stubborn soul
Aint afraid of the great unknown,
Nor the windin road that's all uphill
This is just a stumblin block
Intimidating wollow rock
If you think this broken heart
Will break my will
I'm gonna take that mountain
Aint nothing gonna slow me down
And there aint no way around it
Gonna leave it level with the ground
Aint just gonna cross it, climbit, fight it
I'm gonna take that mountain
It's overwhelmin lookin up
Knowin it's a challenge of me
Against this heartache to survive
I may slip and fall
But even if I have to crawl
I will break through
To the healin side
I'm gonna take that mountain
Aint nothing gonna slow me down
And there aint no way around it
Gonna leave it level with the ground
Aint just gonna cross it, climbit, fight it
I'm gonna take that mountain
I think the chorus is the best part that shows me.

Here is the information about my dream this morning:
"This morning, I woke from a WEIRD dream. For some reason, things in my past are getting skewed in my dreams. Anyway, when I worked for Tri-C, I had to administer an entrance exam for student nurses. Part of my dream, I was taking that test. But, the test came to life. Part of the test, I had to walk through a chicken coop. While walking through it, I had to think of the test and the questions. One of the questions was, "What do you smell, that, while walking through the coop you can see and feel?" The answer was chicken poop and pee!
Well, I was wearing a VERY nice dress, was dressed to the "9's" but was also wearing a hat for my head. Well, little did I know, but there were chickens running overhead in coops too. I couldn't believe how much it smelled.
Well, I ran out of there as quickly as I could. I threw my test down and said, "F**** it! I'm not taking this DAMNED test!" Then, I started crying. I woke up crying.
Okay, my dreams can get VERY vivid and feel real. So, at first I didn't want to walk this morning."
My dreams can be VERY REAL looking and feeling. I think part of my dream was because I was watching: 1. my Reba Greatest Moments special and 2. my ALL-TIME favorite movie Pure Country before going to bed at midnight. I honestly feel that some of my dreams are the product of what I watch and read before I go to bed.
So, how come I can't have a dream to figure out the lottery numbers? especially when the lottery reaches 100million+? I know somewhere, in one of my dreams, I won 4 million dollars. But, where the money went, I couldn't tell you.
Numbers are REALLY BIG on my dream meters. I had this one dream, where I was shopping in Lane Bryant. For those of you who don't know this store, this is a store for heavy women. But, for the most part, the clothes tend to be classy, at least the last time I shopped there, they were more business-focused. Anyway, I picked out so many clothes, must have been shopping for a new wardrobe. I had a credit card at the time, but, first didn't realize how much was on my card, nor did I realize just how much in clothes I had picked out. The total rang up to $779 dollars. For some reason, I only had $443 on the card. So, I had to put some clothes back. I debated back and forth what to return. Then, with all the clothes I picked out, I see this pants set, kinda casual, but very dressy looking. It was cream, with roses nicely placed all over it. The material was very soft, like a soft blaket, but something to wear. It was light, but comfortable. What caught me was the roses, their colors in reds and hues of red. In the end, I don't remember if I ever bought the outfit or not.
Otherwise, most of my dreams are based on stuff going on in my life, especially if I haven't "closed" issues before going to bed. Oh, plus, I have many dreams about flying, high. Or, I have lots of dreams where I'm either being killed or are killing people. Plus, I would say 80-90% of my dreams are in color!
While I was working for E&Y, I had this dream about God. The whole reason I was learning Lotus Notes was to build a "soul" tracking database for him. He needed to know at any time where any soul was. This was going to be my job, to build it, manage it, etc. Well, I no longer develop in Lotus Notes. Must have been a result of the fact I was working 16 hour days before taking a trip to Florida in 1996!
Love to all,
Cathy

P.S. Here's my question for anyone reading to comment: What do you dream about?

As most of you know, my idol musician is Reba McEntire. Yesterday, on CMT, they had a show called, "Greatest Moments." They take a musician's Top 20 Greatest Moments of all time. First, I had problems with my satellite. I could hear the show, but couldn't see the video. SUCKS!
To my good fortune, they ran the show again at 11pm last night. Since I was alseep at 11, there was no way to watch it. Luckily for me, because I've got Dish, I've also got a DVR. I was able to set it up to record.
Come to find out, all I had to do was reset the satellite box to get it to work. Duh!
Anyway, I got to watch it today. There's one song that was on the show, one that I know well. I've decided today that it's my theme song. And, she sung it because of what she knew it would do to women. Well, with me, I've been out of my "career" for 5 and a half years. I had a child, then lost my career.
This past Spring semester, I started back to college. This song talks about a woman who has a husband and family, but is also struggling with college. The song is called:
Is There Life Out There
Here are the words:
She married when she was twenty
She thought she was ready
Now she's not so sure
She thought she'd done some living
But now she's just wonderin'
What she's living for
Now she's feeling that there's something more
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
She's always lived for tomorrow
She's never learned how
To live for today
She's dyin' to try something foolish
Do something crazy
Or just get away
Something for herself for a change
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
There's a place in the sun that she's never been
Where life is fair and time is a friend
Would she do it the same as she did back then
She looks out the window and wonders again
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
Even though I didn't get married until I was 25, I kinda feel this is me. I did have a career "back then." Now I don't. I'm dealing with a family and a husband and college.
Even though in the song, she talks about not wanting to leave. I DEFINITELY don't want to leave. I just want a career back. But, this song seems to speak volumes about me!
AND, when I'm finished college, I'm walking DOWN THAT AISLE TO GET MY DEGREE! This will be an important step for me. Hopefully, I can keep up my grades to be presented with an award.
Love to all,
Me

I think I offended someone when I emailed them this week. I said what was on my mind and this person hasn't responded.
You see, this person is new back into my life after a while (okay, a long while). I'm trying not to offend too much, but it appears I have.
I figured I would wait, but don't want this person to up and tell me to "take a hike." So, I'm waiting it out to see what happens. Maybe this person was shocked at my comment.
Okay. We'll see. If so, AGAIN, I'm sorry for my comment. But, I am sick of pussy-footing around and not telling people how I feel.
Okay. Had to vent. Off the soapbox now!
Me
Last night just SUCKED! First off, because it's getting to be "that time" my emotional status is going from high to LOW. I ended up in bed at 10, but first I had to take care of the adult babies litter pan. Thank GOD the pan is in the basement, because kitty litter can be YUCK!
So, I ended up in bed after taking care of the pan. I decided to read a little and watch TV a little. Because it was a little warm in the bedroom, I had the fan on. The weather had cooled off outside, so the air went off again. It was getting very comfortable.
At 2am, my neighbor behind us decides to take his dog out. LIGHTS BLARING! And, with the dog barking at something, it woke me up. As soon as I woke up, I smelled this HORRIBLE smell. It was a SKUNK! And, the smell didn't go away. It was making me so sick. I ended up trying to go back to sleep with my nose in my pillow. I'd rather smell my underarms after not wearing deodorant for a day than smell that skunk.
I would REALLY laugh if that dog got sprayed by the skunk.
Then, I realized that the temperature was very cool in the bedroom. I was only sleeping under a sheet. I started to shiver. BUT, I was just so tired that I was too lazy to get up and turn the fan off. For almost an hour, I tried to get back to sleep.
When I finally did get to sleep, I realized that I woke up immediately, just to discover that it was 8am! Of course, body kicks in and it's time to pee!
Bottom line...DAMN SKUNKS! Hopefully the week doesn't go like this. Even though I'm sleeping, I'm not tired.

Last weekend, Cassi spent the time at Pa's. While there, she used the back of a Disney drawing tablet, and saw instructions on how to draw Jasmine's head (Jasmine is the princess from the Aladdin movies).
The instructions look like this:

And here is what she drew:

She's falling in Marie's footsteps. I've always said that I can't draw worth a bean! But, if I gave it half a shot, I betcha I could draw too.
Cassi didn't even read the instructions, or have them read to her. She just followed the pictures and did what the pictures showed.

I can't believe what I had to do today! All afternoon, I spent my time going to EVERY web site that I do business with and confirm what email address was there and CHANGE it!
For our home email address, it has been alltel.net for the domain. Well, the company, Alltel was just bought out by Windstream Communications. Instead of keeping the same domain, email addresses are all changing.
What a WASTE of my precious time this afternoon. So, for those of you who use our home email address, the new domain is @windstream.net. Otherwise, the hotmail address is still the same.
What I have read and heard in the media, is that the AVERAGE internet user frequents 6 (that's SIX) web sites in their internet-access life. Well, I think we access about 10 to 20 times as much.
That's it for now. Had to vent!

The web site address for the zoo is: http://www.clemetzoo.com/.
The link to the map of the zoo is: http://www.clemetzoo.com/tour/index.asp.
The day was REALLY good. To begin with, we didn't leave the house until 12:30. Cassi was in school until noon. We stopped at Wendy's for lunch. The story of my lunch adventure lives on this blog too (about the crack-uum). We ended up getting to the zoo after 1:30. Luckily, mom purchased majorly-discounted tickets.
We started the day at the elephant outdoor area. I took pictures of the elephants and Cassi. Then, we moved over to the wart hogs (man are they UGLY), the hippo, etc. We moved from there to the Australian Adventure. We went into a huge bird cage. I took these AWESOME pictures of very brightly colored birds.
Cassi went under this water mister. They've got them ALL OVER the zoo. It was a hot day, but not too hot. I even enjoyed the misters. From there, we went through the gate to the adventure area. Upon walking up the path, Rob and I found ourselves looking at a pair of kangaroos who were "busy." We both again, laughed. Good thing Cassi didn't see what they were doing. The female tried to get away, but the male, "I'M NOT FINISHED YET!" is what we could see him saying. Upon walking again, another family passed by us. The mom looked at me, then behind me, where the kangaroos were, then back to me. I said to her, "Family just keep moving!" And we both laughed.
In this area, there is a HUGE play treehouse. Rob took Cassi up into the thing, where I took more pictures. In the end, we came back around to the beginning where the elephants lived. Coming back to the beginning, we were heading for a tram to take us up the hill (more like a small mountain) to see the primates and aquatics. When coming around, I found Romona Robinson, who is a female anchor for the NBC affiliate taping at the zoo. It was very interesting to just watch to see what they were doing. I didn't watch the news to see because, being that my sister works for ABC, I typically watch channel 5.
We went up the hill. First, it took forever for the tram to come, then, it took forever to leave because there were about a half dozen older folks in wheelchairs trying to get where we were going. Once we got to the top, we got out immediately. Boy, those people at the top couldn't even wait for us to get off the tram. Because the entrances and exits to the seating areas are on the same time, these people just couldn't wait.
We went into the primate house, where I got a BUNCH of good pictures. On another post, you find the picture of the "butt monkeys" we saw. From there, we walked across the hill and down. We went into the Butterfly house, where I tried so hard to take pictures of a blue-backed butterfly. Cassi was so impatient that I couldn't get the picture.
From there, we went over to the seals & sea lions. She wanted to feed them, but it appears that allowing the public feed them isn't allowed anymore. From there, we were going to take the other tram back to the main entrance. We didn't want to wait, so we walked. On the way back, we stopped at the rhino's where the trainer was working with a male and female. I got some AWESOME pictures. From there, we went to monkey island.
We were then back at the beginning, and it was 4pm. We didn't have a chance to use our rainforest tickets. We've got a year to use them. But, we did going into the gift shop. We purchased Cassi a humpback whale t-shirt. It's gorgeous.
On the way home, we ended up going south down Rt. 71, then west across Rt. 480 and the turnpike west to home. That was the quickest way for us. Cassi slept (even rough snoring) until we arrived at home.
In the end, we all walked at least 4 miles. For me, it was good because my goal is 1 mile a day.
I didn't want to add the photos because I took over 100 of them yesterday. I can't determine which are the best. Just email me if you want to see them and I'll share.
Love to all,
Cathy

Well, for those of you who don't know me, or have ever seen me, I am RATHER large chested. Today, before we went on our trip to the zoo, we stopped at Wendy's for lunch. My lunch consisted of a side salad and a spicy chicken sandwich with fries.
Here's the hilarious part, I was also wearing my bathing suit to the zoo today. Why not get some sun if I can?
But, my suit likes to "part" my breasts more than I like. AND, everything I eat tends to wind up there, crumbs, veggies, you name it.
I was picking up some veggies from my salad to eat, when all of a sudden, a piece of cucumber falls IN my "crack." Rob, being the MAN that he is, looks directly at my breasts and laughs uncontrollably. I look down and start to laugh too!
Now, for you inventors out there, here's my idea for us ladies well indowed. I've always told Rob I need a CRACK-uum. It's like a small vaccuum but for my the crack between my breasts. When I eat sandwiches, that makes crumbs, where do you think they go?
So, I very subtle-y (is this a word? probably not!) removed the veggies, AND CRUMBS, and continued to eat until I was full.
So, (yes, I LOVE the word SO), someone invent the CRACK-uum for those of us who end up with crumbs (and things) on our large breasts!
Love to all,
Cathy

Anyway you name it, that's what my hair is turning...
From Dark Brown to THAT COLOR!
My hair appears to be full of it, and getting more and more everyday. Plus, you can easily see them because of my hair being so dark. They just STAND OUT!
On our way home from the Zoo, I made the comment to Rob about my hair. I asked him what percent of my hair appeared to be THAT COLOR. Of course, being the smart ass that he is, he has his moment of "distraction for blindness."
I told him I should just dye my hair gray, instead of waiting for it to happen naturally. He said, "Well, it won't be too long for them to all be gray." What a thing to say to your gentle wife!

Yep, the brood gets bigger. No, we don't have more, just the ones we've got are getting bigger. They are now 2 1/2 weeks old. Their eyes are now staying open. Because they are still unsure about their walking, they all walk like they are drunk. You'll see the orange one want to move forward. So, you'll see him rock up and back. Then...
He falls over. I believe there are 2 boys and 2 girls, at least that's what it appears like when you "look down there."
But, here are the most current photos, as I promised on Friday. Plus, I've got a picture of mom. Besides mom, it appears one of them is calico. There's one orange, one smokey grey, and one black and white. So, without further ado...
Mom:
And the Babies:
Hope everyone enjoys the pictures of the babies. Thought you would enjoy them!
